Techniques and Materials of Soft Pastel - any level

Cherry will show you how to find success with soft pastel using good common sense basics. Techniques using this special medium will be covered, as well as papers, pastel brands and pointers to help each participant develop a decisive plan before beginning each painting.  For every painter, beginning to advanced.

Painters should bring at least 45 soft pastels - a complete material list is available upon registration. Cost of tuition $225 (some materials provided)

This three-day course includes a one day photo session at the Animals of Montana. Improve your painting skills with two days in the classroom September 11th and 12th. On September 13th, you'll have the opportunity to photograph wild animals "up close and personal" for fabulous reference photos to take home.
