KRISTI BILLMAYER lives on the windswept prairie of Northern Montana. There, together with her husband, two sons and other family members, she has a hand in everything from wheat and barley to cattle, horses, sheep and border collies.
"I work almost exclusively in pastel because the immediacy of the medium allows me to develop a painting rather rapidly while the idea and inspiration are still fresh and exciting. I feel I have only begun to unlock the possibilities of this magical medium."
A recipient of numerous jurors' and people's choice awards, Kristi's paintings are currently hanging in a growing number of galleries and private collections throughout the United States. She is also an annual exhibitor in the prestigious C.M. Russell Art Show and Auction in Great Falls, as well as other shows in the region.
