DEBORAH LaFOGG DOCHERTY'S art combines great two loves: her love of nature and her love of painting. She strives to give people a glimpse of how animals live in the wild, raise their young, court and survive. She paints a picture of a secret world that many never get a chance to see. Her quest to learn and paint wildlife has taken her across the United States from the Everglades National Park in Florida to Denali National Park in Alaska. It has been an adventure she loves to share.
2015 solo shows include the J. N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge and the Everglades National Park’s Ernest F. Coe Gallery in the Visitors Center. Her paintings have won National and International awards and have been included in Art museum shows in Florida, Utah and the International Festival for Natural Ecology Convention at the Lanwan Art Museum in Qingdao China with the Artists for Conservation.
